No, only under the standard warranty - if you're lucky.

Default YES! Most peolpe don't know this...

but, in California, they're covered for 7 years or 70,000 miles, under the emissions warranty. It's a California law. The emissions coverage specifically states that the turbos are part of the "Emissions System Parts."

Sometimes it pays to live in this expensive state ;-)

Is that different than the federal emission law?? There's a federal one with the same coverage.

Default Don't trust us on this

read the fine print in your warranty book. If you're in CA, the state and fed warranties sometimes run together and sometimes diverge. You HAVE read the warranty book, right???

Default All I can say is...

check your owners manual. There's so much BS about Federal emissions in there, that I can't get a clear idea of what's covered, and for how long. The California law is a lot easier to understand.

I know of no one who has actually used this to their advantage though.

Default Yes, but it you modify the system (chip?) you are modifying

an emissions device. You can always potentially void the Audi warranty one way or another and argue the details, but technically Audi can turn you in for modifying the 'emissions system'.

Big can of worms.
