Default A6 Clear Corner Mod for Dummies

<center><img src="http://stevenlinder.com/personal/a6/done.jpg"></center><p>
I finally got done with documenting the clear corner mod for the A6. It's in two docs - Word and PDF. The PDF is much smaller and downloads quicker. Please let me know if anything needs to be changed. Thanks to everyone for their posts that helped me with my other mods.

Default While you're doing the Clear Mod - Silver Bulbs

I just took the front end of the car off again (about 20 minutes this time) last night to check the documentation. I also was going to put SilverVision bulbs in, but found out that they are only single filament and you need duals. Next best thing, take the amber bulbs out. Tape the base of them with masking tape. Put them in a piece of cardboard so the just the bulbs are sticking out. Get FAR away from your car, and take some chrome spray paint, and "mist" the bulbs ONLY so much that you get a light coat and no amber shows through.

Price for the paint: $2.95
PRice for the labor: FREE
Price of awesome clear corners: PRICELESS

Good luck and post pics when you're done... it'd be cool to see how the clear corners look on other colors. Good Luck (it's so easy, you won't need luck though )

Default Maybe I just got lucky, but I did this w/out removing

the front bumper. I do remember that taking the headlight housings off of the car, past the bumper cover was something of a puzzle. Putting them back on, more of the same, even scrathced one of the headlight housings a little(but harldy noticeable). But it can be done, and may save some time.
