Delaware_Tom: please contact me (info to go on my A6 FAQ page)
Your email here at Audiworld doesn't seem to be correct <tomprzy@home.com>. Have a new one?
Question:
I was looking over an older message of yours,
<a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/102867.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/102867.phtml</a>
while compiling links for a FAQ,
<a href="http://www.netwiz.net/~jds/files/a6_links.html#vag">http://www.netwiz.net/~jds/files/a6_links.html#vag</a>.
You listed some items that I haven't seen discussed elsewhere, such as correcting mpg errors, tire diameters, etc. I have also been told that we can somehow disable the speed governor, something I am very interested in. If you have any information, can you let me know? I'd like to add it to my FAQ.

Don't know about the speed govenor, I kind of doubt that one. You have stumbled across a "feature"
of Audi World. If you change your email address, the change does not propagate to old messages. I corrected my email the day the @home network went away. The link at the top of this message will work fine.
I believe that the info on correcting mpg and also on tire diameters came from other posts to this forum. That information is at home, I'll have to look for it tonight. The tire diameter one is for NAV only, it doesn't affect the speedometer.

Good idea on using the sig. Here is some of the info you said you wanted:
For adjusting the mileage indicator, I discussed this in message https://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/72829.phtml
and in message https://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/113349.phtml .
I got the info from the VAG-COM discussion group on Yahoo as far as I can remember.
I thought that someone did a post on adjusting the NAV system for tire diameter, but couldn't find a printout in my file or the original post using search on Audi World. In any case, you go to item 37-Navigation and in adaptation channel 1 enter the tire circumference in mm. For my non-sport A6 2.7T the standard value is 1960 mm. The original post described measuring the ground covered by 5 revolutions of the wheel (mark tire, creep car forward), divide by five, and enter that in mm. His value was very very close to 1960 for plus sized 17" wheels. I'll keep looking for the original article since this is all from memory and mine's fading.
Another item of interest is at https://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/106829.phtml
which describes how to change the pitch and volume of the parking sensor.
Hope this is of use, your FAQ is a great contribution!
