"Brake Light" warning on trip computer
My 2001 A6 has been in the shop 8 times to fix what seems to be a mickey mouse problem. A warning light and loud audible goes off every 5 to 10 mininutes. This light and noise is supposed to alert the driver that a brake light has burn't out. However, the brake lights are working fine. I have contacted America and they want me to keep on taking the car back to the dealer for repair. Its so bad and so out of control that I am about ready to sue Audi under the Lemon Law statute. The Irony is that I love the car.

Research lemon laws in your state first
If it's just the warning system going off but your brakes are fine, you probably don't officially qualify. But if you complain loudly and effectively enough, you will get some sort of satisfaction.

lemons

Make sure that you use the stainless steel based bulbs, not the brass based bulbs.
The brass base bulbs will screw up the sensor for the warning light. Worth a check. You can get the stainless bulbs most anywhere.

Re: Research lemon laws in your state first
Audi has had my car in there service bays a total of 6 weeks to fix this problem. The problem started when the car had 1500 miles on it. The car now has 12,000 miles on it. The reason I think it qualifies under the lemon law statute is the loud noise it makes. I could live with the light on, but the noise is incredibly distracting. It seems like I bought a Hertz Rental car, not an Audi. I cant believe that the dealer is so incompetent that they cant make a sensor light go off.
