Default Is there a way to KEEP the motion detector switched off?

My dog is a frequent passenger in our A6, and I am NOT good at remembering to hit that disable button in the B pillar EVERY TIME I GET OUT! Is there any way to keep it switched off? You may keep my dog from having yet another heart attack.

See dealership. They may be able to turn it off for good.

On my model, you can shut it off with a button next to the seat. Check the owner's manual.

Default Don't think so. But, you can program its sensitivity to minimum with VAG-tool.

I don't know how exactly. But this message says how:

Default Go to 45-Int. Monitor, change channel 1 from 100 to

anything between 50 to 100. 50 is minimum, but the alarm is not completely disabled. On a very windy day with the windows cracked open, the alarm still occasionally gets triggered. I have mine at 50. I don't know of any way to turn it off completely.

One time only. Next time you lock the car, they're switched back on unless you pop the button.

Hmmm...that's interesting because I've only had mine go off once. Cool, didn't know that.
