Default 🔴 Won't start and parking brake blinking!

So I jump into my 2007 A6 Quattro this morning and it doesn't start and the parking "button" is blinking. I've done some searching but haven't really come up with an answer to fix this. The car was fine yesterday. Would it make any sense to take out the Parking Brake fuse (if there is one? Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you!

Scan the car with VAG-COM and if you can't access engine, ABS, tranny and the Electric modules you may have bad Immobilizer Access Module. It's a great possibility and it's PITA because the module checks for the key and if the key matches then the module unlocks the steering wheel and allows power to the electronic modules through the car. It is a known problem on 2002 to approx 2009 Audi A6/S6, A5/S5, A4/S4 and the Q7. The module is attached to the steering column and if you go to Audi you will be out of $2 - $3K because the module is not available as a separate part. The whole steering column must be replaced and the dealership must then contact Audi in Germany and get the security codes for that particular VIN. Go to the link below and educate yourself. The problem is one relay and three microswitches in the module. They have to be desoldered and new soldered on the board. That's not the problem. The problem is to get the module out. It involves removal of the steering column so you can access the three bolts that hold the module to the column.

I just did this on my 2007 S6 and I actually cut away the bottom of the module box as the board is on bottom and attached by three #10 Torx screws. I got the parts from e-bay from some guy in Slovenia(?). Good luck.
