Happened yesterday. Drove the car in the morning with no problem. Parked under the sun for a few hours. When I drive it in the afternoon, I heard a wind blowing like noise inside the car from the right front corner, like coming from the A/C vent, but actually not---the noise is there even if the A/C is completely turned down. The noise is most audible when engine runs between 1400 and 2000 rpm, whether at standstill or moving. I don't hear anything from the engine bay when the hood is hung up. Strange is that I just heard once (lasted ~2 seconds) today in the morning while accelerating. What is behind the right corner A/C vent (next to the firewall?) that may produce such a noise?

Car is a 2004 3.0L Quattro.
