Good morning. I gave our 2005 A6 to my son in June 2020. The car is still, in very nice condition. I checked the mileage this morning, it has 152,000 miles on it. I've owned the car 12 years (it had 39,000 when purchased), and other than a recent stalling issue, that turned our to be the ECM, I feel this car can easily go another 100,000 miles. In 12 years, in regard to maintenance, I've done (estimated) 40% of it myself, 40% at the local dealer, and 20% at a local independent here in town. I still love that car, and it's solid after all these years. Have a great summer everyone.

2008 A6, 3.2, Quattro just turned 226,000 miles this past weekend. I purchased it with about 150,000 on the clock. The most "major" things I have put into it are sway-bar links and VC gaskets. Not that I haven't done other things to the car but most are minor or were caused by my own lack of understanding. My wife accuses me of working on it "all the time" but this is not accurate it's just her perception. She seems to count washing and/or waxing or vacuuming as "working on it" whereas I do not.

I’m betting none... diesels go forever. My wife has a 2008 Benz GL320 cdi (diesel engine) that thing gives me zero issues.

As for my A6, just over 205,xxx kms, besides the oil leak, no issues, everything works.

My 2006 A6 avant is up to 220K miles. electronics on MMI loop were flooded and removed. Now the MMI loop is completely off. Had to weld the exaust flex pipes a few times. Otherwise no issues. Regular maintenance. Sticking to the OE parts.
Planning to take it on the Americana drive across the country this summer. will bring a toolbox with me. Just in case.
