Default What sensor is attached to coolant overflow tank?

my overflow tank has a leak coming from the attached sensor under the tank. Does anyone know what that sensor is? I can't find a schematic of it.

Thank you,

The sensor attached to your coolant tank is the coolant level sensor. It turns your instrument light ON when you are LOW on engine coolant.

Thanks,

I ordered a new expansion tank. The harness that plugs into the tank has what seems to be some white residue. Based on the picture of the replacement the tank seems to have the male side of the harness molded into it. There were metal pins embedded into the plastic. I'm assuming that's where the leak is originating since all the hoses were dry and residue free.

I have not gotten the warning light to come on yet but the level is below the minimum.

Any suggestions on how to replace is welcome.

Thank you,
