Everyone still happy with VNS one year later?
Just checking to see if all is still well with these units?
Contemplating between that and the pricier Audi AMI

Is it really? I am pretty sure the VNS is cheaper. But the advatange i can think of is its easy to install full reversible. two downsides. Sometimes the unit stops working so install the device in you glove box so you can unplug the vas and re plug then its all set. when scrolling through many songs really fast the unit reset so you start at A. Sometimes causes the Navigation to get stuck on 'Not Initizlied" if you unplug the device and plug it back in everything works. Overall I am happy with the VNS. since it integrates like the AMI as the the MMI recognizes it as a AMI.

ok guys, its really easy to install
1- Remove the 5 bolts holding the glovebox, 2 underneath that holds the rear of the glovebox and 3 inside that holds the front.
2- Drop the glovebox.
3- Disconnect the 2 cables behind the cd player.
4- Pass the iPod cable thru the glovebox. I used the top left hole, the connector goes in sideways, no need to drill or cut anything.
5- Connect all the cables, see the video

6- I did attach the VNSMedia box with zipties to the plastic plate behind the glovebox. I did put a piece of cardboard between the box and the plastic plate to minize possible rattles.
7- Connect your iPod, go select Audi Music Interface in Source (CD needs to be selected).
8- Secure all cables with zipties.
9- Re-install the glovebox
10- Enjoy your 20000000000000000000000000000 songs
