Signed up just to find out there is a subscription fee, sounds a little ridiculous to me ($1100 for 1 year) that's S6 conversion money, or exhaust and new brakes money. But I guess they do provide some important information.

If you want you can just go to an authorized Audi dealer and they'll give you a print out of everything.

Don't think Carfax or autocheck shows everything, because when I bought my car and took it in for it's first oil change all the maintenance and previous repairs showed up and they weren't on either Car.F, or A.C

1 day only costs $35. I don't think that anyone will be checking the VIN information more than once so you don't need to sign up for a year. Personally I sign up for 1 day about every 6 months and download all of the new TSB information for my car.
