I recently asked dealer to change ATF ...... they talked me out of it. 74k on the odometer. Next time I will insist.

I talked them into doing it at 40k and 80k. The dealer tried talking me out of it the first time. The second time they said it was a good thing because they were starting to get failures.

My car is '08 so 3.5 years/74k, I will definitely do ATF change.

Rear brakes were just changed @ 74k, fronts earlier... I probably hold the record. They also talked me out of changing brake fluid this time.

What other fluids/things do you recommend I change?

BTW, glad to see you still on this forum, although I suspect we may lose you to C7 or A7 one day. I just purchased off lease so I'm here for awhile.

I will probably do either the C7 or the A7 sometime this year. The next time I drop my car off for service I will take one of them as a loaner and see if I like it.

I would change the differential fluids as well.

It is strange, that dealer talk you of changing brake fluid. AT fluid change is not specified in Audi manual. Only in ZF docs. So there were different opinions in dealership. On the other side brake fluid must be changed every two years. this is very clear.
