I see that the supercharger drain plug is accessible from the front without removing the unit....is this a side fill plug like on a differential or manual trans?

Even if I can only extract and refill a fraction of the fluid with a syringe, doing it on a regular basis should help keep it clean and refreshed...save the time of removing the entire unit if you don't need to get in the valley

I don't want to find out the hard way if it's not a side fill

I just checked out this vid, I guess that answers the question...not a side filler! I suppose it's still ok to fill/extract through there as long as you use the same amount

I did mine almost two years ago. I just removed the SC, then dumped the oil out into a container. Filled new oil with the same amount of the old oil that was removed, then reinstall.
