Default Some unknown buttons in my A6 2006 4.2

Hi! Some kind of silly questions about buttons in A6.

1. What does button "Econ on/off" (near the climate regulation buttons) do?
2. What does round button (near the steering wheel regulation button) do??

Thanks

The round buttom activates the steering wheel "up" reposition when you turn the car off to make it easier to get in and out. If its pressed in, the steering wheel will move up when you turn it off. When its not pressed in, nothing happens.

The econ button keeps the compressor from activating when its on heat cycle. You may end up with fogged windows if very cold with it off though. Its probably only a good idea to use it when its just a bit chilly and you need a little warm air.

the econ button also affect the cooling as the compressor is off in the warm weather as well.

no need to since the system can automatically shut down/turn on the AC unit.

In addition, holding the econ button down for a couple of seconds turns on the heat and keeps the car warm for about 30 minutes. It is a great function if you are just running into some place for a few minutes and you want to return to a warm car.

Does it use battery when heating and when this button should be switched (when engine works or when it shutted down)??

You depress the econ button after you turn off the car.

If you have the solar sunroof panel the fan runs off the power of the sun, assuming that the sun is out. Otherwise the fan motor runs off the battery.
