Oram, welcome aboard!

You'll need to read the Owner's Manual for comprehensive info on inflation pressures. It's typically towards the end of the book.

Sadly, in the USA, the door sticker only shows MAX LOAD conditions These high pressures will offer a punishing ride unless your roadways are paved with gold.

I run about 42 front and 38 rear on the S6.

You can blame the Ford Explorer lawsuits. As a lawyer, I should correct and say: you should blame the idiots driving Ford Explorers that were not bright enough to figure out to raise the comfort TP upward when they filled their SUNot with bags of cement, firewood, fat people.

I must say though, based on engine weight of most Audi A6s, I tend toward the max load or few psi below for fronts to help with understeer. Lowering rears when empty makes a big difference

yes, I'm quite familiar with the merits (or lack thereof) of this and the nonsense with Congress attempting to protect us.

I have to credit Audi for continuing to share the info even if we have to open the Owner's Manual and read [gasp]. They are one of the few mfrs still providing the info.

I was not aware of that - good to know. I cannot even form a mental picture of the average american driver opening a manual. Just look at the Newbie/new owner posts on the C7 forum - many ask simple questions answered clearly in their manual.

Thanks. I read the ones for my cars...
Have read the audi manuals, lots of good tire pressure stuff. What I meant was: I was aware Audi had comfort data in the manual, but I was not aware that audi was one of the few car makers that shares the info on other than max load tire pressures.
