Cool Beans. Genuinevwauidparts.com has the piece for $44 US. Thanks for the write-up, I'm placing my order soon! Good-Bye sticky-button set#1!

Well it appears I have to wait a little longer to get my upgrade done... I ordered the part last week from my dealership. They thought they were doing me a favor by checking the part number I requested vs. the VIN of my vehicle... guess what part showed up? Exactly what I already have! So now I play the waiting game, apparently the revised ...-E-VUV part is on backorder. Can't blame the dealership though, I guess I'm glad that they normally make sure to get the right part!

Just for reference, ...-C-VUV is the older ('08) style part number

Just a quick caveat, if your A6 is right hand drive, then the start button part number is slightly different than the one posted. I believe the right hand drive part number is 4F2-905-217-E-VUV, but check with your dealer to be sure.
