Purchase pending - Advice needed
I've searched yet found little on this topic. Looking at a 2010 or 2011 A6 C6 Prestige 3.0T. I've found a few good prospects but was wondering what, short of the C7 refresh, are the differences between 2010 and 2011 C6 model years? I can spot very little really other than some minor cosmetics. Usually, the '11 commands a slightly higher price but is it worth it? Are they essentially the same? Thanks for any advice. Just can't at this point justify the bigger price leap to the 2012 but would love to

According to Edmunds -
For 2011, every Audi A6 gets the previously optional S Line exterior package, adding bumpers with a sportier appearance, different door sills and headlight washers. All A6 models also get the most recent Audi Multi Media Interface (MMI) and standard navigation. Rear parking sensors are now standard on the Premium Plus, while a rearview camera is standard on the Prestige.

I'm not sure if there are any differences between 2010 and 2011 as far as MMI goes...I think the article is saying that all 2011 A6 models get it and it was optional on the 2010 base models. The big change for MMI was the 2012 model.

MMI has been standard since 2005. However, the software has evolved almost every year and the hardware has been revised occasionally.

Thanks for all the info, might pull the trigger tomorrow, looking at a 2010 Prestige with Cold and Assist packages. $25k and 50k miles. Seems like a solid 1 owner car, service records too. Ibis White, Black interior and not my first choice but price is a huge motivator at this point.

I just did the same search.
The 2011 are pricier primarily because of the year and many are under factory warranty.
Big step is the 2012 but it will set you back another 10k.
The 2011 and 2010 are essencially the same with cosmetic differences. Especially if you are getting the prestige package.
I actually like the 2010 bumper better.
Good luck!

Pulled the trigger today on a Silver 2011 A6 Prestige. 44k miles, S-line, CPO. It's awesome, loving it so far! Pics tomorrow.
Thanks all for the advice.
