The vendor sais: if you buy unit with different HW version or part number it will not work.
The part is the same part number, that's for sure.
How about the HW version? I am not familiar with that, if that's a problem?

More nonsense from a dodgy seller! The HW number IS the part number [see sample VCDS log above].
The label on the ECU will have the part number printed as the HW number and the installed firmware level as the SW number [as you can see from the VCDS scan]. Perhaps you could supply a photo of the labels on the ECU you bought?
But even if you install the wrong part number [the SIM based phone ECU, for example], it will still be seen by VCDS and the 'Red screens' although it may not work correctly. The non-SIM ECU needs a SIM and can't connect to a BT device, but you still see its details with a VCDS scan.
