Newbie ?'s of course, I've been searching and gethering info on used A6's, but thought should start with a post also. I'm currently looking for a 05-06 A6, we had a 97 A6 that just got totalled a while ago and I'm looking for it's replacement. I'm not set on having a 3.2 v/s 4.2 but would like to buy something with most of the options available. Benefits to both v6 v/s the V8, what I have seen is that the 4.2 models have more options standard then the 3.2, I may be wrong.

What comprimises a fully loaded A6 (2005-06), I have seen some with nav, some without. Some have the start/stop button some do not. If they have the start button does tha mean they have Active key ? Some have a rear screen, rear heated seats, etc. If it has bluetooth is that the technology package or something else. If someone can point me in a direction where I can find all the options/ packages that would be great, if I have a VIN # can I look somewhere to find the options installed on a vehicle. Thanks

also 4.2s are more rare.. so dont go to crazy comparing between the 2... bc u just might not see one for sale while your looking

I think the dealer can to if you need your model specific. I lost my window sticker and the dealer printed me a detailed list of my cars features. I think it's more for internal use though as it was plain text and had different codes and barcodes.
