The only trick I know with the race still in there is to take off the knuckle, bend a large straight screw driver to be able to knock it out from the inside.

Is there enough lip to get a jawstyle gear puller puller on or in it?

Default Do you have a HF nearby?

Do you have a Horror Freight in the area? If so, this thing will do the job. Otherwise, I'd pull the knuckle. How were you going to press the new bearing in?

theres not alot of lip. I even ended up cutting it as much as I could and it still would not budge. I am thinking about heating it. The new bearing doesnt press into this, it just bolts on. It presses only into the hub. Unless im waaay out to lunch and it does? haha

Okay I just googled the wheel bearing for our cars. It's all one piece and bolts up without any pressing in -- that's cool! I thought this was a basic press-the-bearing-in job but the integrated housing certainly makes things easier.

So now you have to get the housing out... Hmm.

I just looked up the DIY on this job and you DID remove the housing bolts (from the backside) first already... ...right? (Sorry if this is a dumb question)

did you try whacking it sideways with a big hammer. yes, seriously you should be able to rotate the bearing housing by striking it in a rotational direction. this should loosen it, if it only turn a little bit you might be able to use the threads of the housing to screw a bolt against the knuckle

yes all the bolts etc are removed.

I've tried hitting this thing from every direction and its have not even moved a milimeter. I took an air hammer to it last night, and nothing. It wont rotate for the life of me, but I may try again.

its been going on since last fri night!! I'm almost debating buying a new knuckle
