Default Need help finding a link.

A couple of years ago, somebody sent me a link for an online parts dealer in Germany that sold a kit for upgrading TPMS to individual tire pressures and temps (like on the A8). Unfortunately I cannot find it. Anybody know what it might be?

I'm interested in this as well. There is a thread floating around AW on that subject. The guy who started it retrofitted it to his Q7 but he never follwed up with a decent writeup last i looked. Kufatec may have some equipment to make this happen though.

When I was looking into it back then, I asked the company for a copy of the installation instructions. It looked pretty straightforward to install and their kit seemed fairly comprehensive. Probably a PITA, but not too terrible. You need to mount the receivers in each wheelwell, then run the supplied harnesses through the cabin to the MMI. The system requires different sensors for each rim as well. I was thinking of pulling the trigger since I just got a "new" '08 4.2 that I love and am thinking about doing a tire change pretty soon.

The price at Kufatec is $719 Euros, including 19% tax.

Even though we wouldn't be paying the tax, it'd still come to over $900.

That's a lot o'money for one gadget/feature. Have to think about this...
