Looking to buy a 2016 A6
Hi there,
I am selling my 2011 A4 and looking at the 2016 A6 (Summer of Audi edition). I am nervous to buy from a non Audi dealership. There are several cars that I can get for a few thousand less then what the dealer is asking. They admit they base pricing on what they paid for the car. If it is not a Audi dealership, I am guessing the other dealerships are getting auction cars, and not doing anything to the car before throwing it on their lot. So is it worth paying more and go through the dealership?
I appreciate any feedback.
Thanks

I would think your previous issues would have you focusing exclusively on a CPO car, no?
Also, if you can't trust your dealership, isn't it time to consider another marque?

I'd prefer a CPO car, yes. However knowing a CPO is about a $6-800 value, doesn't justify the difference in cost even without a CPO car. Example, same car with 15k less miles is say $21k vs same car with more miles for $24k or $25k CPO? Am I missing something?

The dealership told me the cost to certify a vehicle. If I get a car from a non Audi dealership, I get the remaining time left on the manufacturers warranty if there is one, or I can buy a pkg from their extended warranty options. I am just trying to justify buying from a Audi dealership vs. a stand alone dealership. Is it a better choice to pay a little more, or in the end is it all the same.

I would think you'd want to maximize your protection. Are the cars you're looking all still under the mfr's warranty?
I'm sure you don't want to end up with a car that has a bunch of outstanding maintenance...
