Default head rest question

I have a 2008 A6 sedan. In my Saab 9.5 I could drive around with my head resting on the head rest. In the Audi it's about 3 or 4 inches behind my head. It doesn't seem like there's any way to tilt it forward. Does anyone know any ways I can do this?

thanks.

Have you tried tilting the top of the headrest towards the front?

Well yes, that's why I'm asking the question. I can't get it to tilt at all--it just goes up and down. Am I missing something?

Thanks!

Its not there to rest your head on, it's to stop you getting whiplash in the event of a rear ender.

You're in the U.K., we Americans like to ride in comfort! Actually, of course I know the major function of head rests. However, there are many cars where the head rest is in line with the back of the seat allowing for a comfortable long ride. If there was a way to tilt it forward it would bring it more in line with the seat back. If not I will have to learn to painfully balance my head on my neck as I drive along.

When you sit down, grab the head rest with both hands and just tilt top forward. I am not sure why your wouldn't move?!
I am not sure if passenger side moves.. if it doesn't is it possible that they were switched at some point? (just fishing here).

Good theory, I'll try it.

Actually, I ended up doing that small mod where you cut the small plastic tabs keeping the head rest from tilting. It worked great.
