Has anyone noticed how much the newer A4's
look like our A6's. There was one parked in my garage and in low light I had to check the tail to see what model it really was. It looked just like my A6 only a little smaller. In size it looked comparable to the older A6. In the coming years, if Audi keeps on increasing the size of it's cars, the A6 may grow to the size of an A8L

Agreed...
I liked it better when the different models differed in looks more than just being bigger or smaller versions of the same car (which is almost what they are doing now from the A8 down to the A4...). Granted there are differences, especially in the back end of the A4 (tail-lights, etc...) but very subtle...

Re: Has anyone noticed how much the newer A4's . . ."rumors 'r' us"
It has been a couple of weeks since I actually did this, BUT, I found what is probably a doctored A4 B8 (next gen) picture and some obviously speculative remarks pertaining to it.
And, you are right sir -- the next gen A4 will indeed (if the rumors 'r' us are correct) be larger and apparently carry a bigger stick.
My wife and I have two sheltland sheepdogs (aka shelties) -- she has a BMW X3. We rarely have back seat passengers.
I love my A6 . . . BUT I am carrying so much steel, aluminum, plastic, nylon, rayon and ban-lon for all I know behind the driver's seat of my A6 and, remind me now, "for what?"
A slightly larger A4 4 door sedan even if it had the exact same 255HP 3.2 engine as my A6 would be, darn near, ideal for our circumstances and the few times the back seat was needed would not be an issue with an ever so slightly larger A4.
And, if it is the basis for a new S4 and if the SLine is continued, well, the new and larger A4 may be "just the ticket."
Anyway to know if the rumors are true or if the pictures are anymore than wishful thinking on some PhotoShop Expert's part?

Maybe Bangle sold Audi BMW's old design theme - "eine Wurst, drei Grosse" -- "one sausage, three different lengths." I guess that would then make the new Q7 a knockwurst!

It is harder to tell at first glance than previous models. One of my co-workers (a two time S6 and one time RS6 owner) thought my 06 A6 was an A8 at first.
