Good bluetooth smartphone/PDA for A6?
2 year old + apple juice + my cellphone = non working cellphone
I am looking for a good smartphone or other PDA like phone that works well with the A6 bluetooth. Any suggestions? I am on a month to month with Cingular, so I can switch to Verizon or whatever. Thanks for any suggestions.

The Cingular 2125 rocks
I have a Cingular 2125 smartphone (Windows Mobile 5.0). It is the third BT phone I've tried with the car and the first one that works at all. This phone pairs quickly and consistantly. It has never dropped a call, and just works very well. It doesn't upload the phonebook (I haven't fooled around with it--I've read you can upload contacts one at a time). It doesn't show signal strength properly. But the phone part of it works flawlessly (it has the best reception of any phone I've had).
As a smartphone, it works great--sync with PC (and will soon with the Mac when the third party software guys release updates). It is also very small and light. I love this thing!

Palm 700w works great for me. Awesome battery life, plenty of functionality, great one handed use like a BB and no problems with BT funtionality.
I have had the motorola i815 and Samsung i730 with this car as well and they both either had an echo or what sounded like road noise for the person on the other end. Nothing like that with the 700w

Re: Good bluetooth smartphone/PDA for A6?
I'm with Verizon and just got the Motorola E815 for my 2006 A6 4.2. Works perfectly, even downloads the Phone Book plus dialed and received call record. Apparently the Razr won't do the latter functions.

I have Treo650 from Verizon. Works well with everything except.....
Phonebook function since Verison does not support OBEX profile. Since I can make the call from "dialed...", "received...." and "missed...." categories, it provides fairly good work around here.

Not true. I just got the Verizon Razr last week for my 2006 A6 3.2 and the phone book synchs along with the dialed, received and missed calls lists. Works great. See the chart below.
The 2005 A6 is listed as not compatible for phone book transfer however.<ul><li><a href="http://dts.vzw.com/pdf/Motorola_carkit_RAZR_V3c.pdf">Razr Compatibility List</a></li></ul>
