Gas Mileage on the 2005 A6
I just ran out of gas in my 2005 A6 after having gone 280 city miles. Is everyone else's A6 getting really bad city gas mileage or is it just me? It costs me around $50-60 everytime I fill up my car and it sucks that I get 280 miles on the tank when driving in the city. The city gas mileage is one of my biggest complaints about the car thus far.

Sounds about right
I get around 260-280 miles (one time I only got 220) when I lived in the city, and I don't have a heavy foot. Now in the suburbs I get around 380-400 miles. Could be the engine smoothing out, but what a difference!

I get worse mileage during the summer months
Most of my driving is a combination of streets and freeway. On average I'll need to fill up at around 330 miles, I may be able to push it to 350 miles.
During the summer months when I have the A/C going on really strong or if for whatever reason I've been particularly heavy footed I may see as low as 280, but that's pretty rare.
On trips to Vegas from the L.A. area I could easily see 450 miles (averaging 25 mpg).
I have a 2005 3.2 Quattro.

yep... 300 tops in the City is what I'm getting. It's a big luxury car and it eats gas accordingly... I came from a 2000 Cadillac Eldorado ETC (2/2005) and I'm saving about 40- 50 bucks a month.
Then again we're paying 3.40 a gallon now !!!! What happened... oh that's right Bush got re-elected.
