ESP+ABS+Parking Brake Lights All At Once
Tonight I experienced an error I've never experienced before.
I got the ESP Fault message just after stopping from a short trip. Once I got going again a few minutes later, a parking brake malfunction appeared and continued to flash on the LCD. When I slowed down, the flashing stopped, and if I then got to a point where I was at maybe below 10MPH and then sped up, it would beep with a parking break malfunction error. As such, any stop sign would cause the car to beep within a few seconds of picking back up.
Turning off the car doesn't resolve the issue.
Does anyone have an idea of what this could be? Thanks!

My first guess is that your ABS module went bed. Our cars are known to experience this problem. If you're handy you can DIY. Not a hard thing to fix. I did it. There's a DIY video on cheap-abs.com.

Thanks for the thoughts! If that's it, it sounds like a cheap repair, which is great.
I plugged in VAGCOM and found three codes triggered during the event in the order they were generated:
I cleared the codes and nothing else went off driving around the block. It sounds to me like something went wacky with the brake pressure or brake pressor sensor, which had a cascading effect on the other two, but I have zero experience with these challenges and only a bit with the car coding anyway.
ericA6, do you know if you had any of these when you had your issue?
Does anyone else have ideas looking at these codes? Thanks!

In response to your PM's, yes, I had the parking brake error notice as well. And it IS the ABS module.
I did the VagCom scan (guy at work actually had one!), and it confirmed the module is pretty much kaput.
I FINALLY got around to removing it on Sunday. The right tools make all the difference.
I got the Torx E-bits from Harbor Freight and I opted for the 1/4" socket versions knowing it was a tight area. Using the smaller socket I was able to remove them a bit easier. But I will say this: To the genius that designed the ABS pump bracket, why in the hell did you feel compelled to put a 90 degree bend UP on the back side to make removing the last bolt a true PITA? Thanks... thanks a lot! LOL
I now have my module enroute to ModuleMaster. They be a bit more pricey than some of the other places that can do this, but they answered EVERY question I had promptly, have a brick and mortar shop and address with full website, and the 5 year warranty should get me through the remainder of my senten... err time owning this car.

Thanks very much for the info! After resetting the codes I drove to work without issue, so at the moment I'm hoping it was just a weird one moment in time issue, but I feel like that work is coming.
How long did it take you to remove the module? I've done a bunch with electronics and the car, but not a lot with major car repairs, so I'm a bit nervous about replacing the module.
Are you still driving your car with the module removed or skipping it? I understood it should be safe to drive but without ABS functioning, but it probably isn't advisable if another vehicle is available.

I have the curvy roads light, ABS, ESC, with these codes (misspellings are SIC [within the software]):
1. 01316:2D Brake Control Module, Please read DTCs memory Lamp OFF Intermitted
2. 01435:28 Brake Pressure Sensor 1, Signal Unplausible. Lamp OFF Intermitted
Parking brake constantly beeps (well it acts like it is beeping), yet it works fine.
Are these signs of an internal wire on the brake module being bad and in need of a refurb?
