But in this case, instead of adding the code, you simply replace the bit with the corresponding number. If you have trouble, I can post a pic as well but it will take time.

I haven't checked 2008 but 2007 did not have this option. My guess is that this feature was installed starting 2009.

thanks for the write-up, worked great on my 2007 S6 for all windows up & down with remote.
only 1 caveat, the sunroof will still not open and close with the remote.
maybe because it's the solar panel sunroof?

On my A6 avant, hold down the unlock button to open windows then hold down the lock button to close the windows.
make sure that your key battery is ok.

I have a 2008 A6 and there was one other thing I had to do. I had to use the key to open the windows and close them. After that the remote function works for the windows but sunroof doesn't open but will close.

I had this feature in my Passat before thru VCDS, cool. It's very helpful especially during a hot summer.

Yes, the sunroof opens with the unlock button and closes with lock button.
