New to the site, just purchased a 2011 A6 premium 3.2.

Is there a way to convert from halogen headlights to OEM Xenons without the auto leveling / adaptive afs features? I was hoping I could literally just purchase a complete pair of OEM headlights and slap them in. I'm not interested in just throwing a HID bulb + ballast in the halogen scatter housing.


I've seen LED DRL enhancements, but since Audi is the inspiration for so many aftermarket LED DRL setups, I can't find what the true OEM 2011 A6 LED DRLs *should* look like. Anyone have a pic of what they were or any tips on what solutions are available?

Auto leveling is a requirement in the US, so you are unlikely to find used parts that are not auto leveling. If you buy the complete parts kit new from Audi, the cost will be rather steep. Guessing $5K.

Cheaper to trade in your car for one that has xenons!

You can just buy a used bi-xenon enabled housing and plug and play, I believe. It will cost you, but there's no need to buy brand-new from Audi.

Also, here's a thread on a similar ask, the only difference being that it's for a C5 vs. our C6's.

Have you tried to use the SEARCH function? I believe this has been discussed a number of times...
