CEL air flow clode, carbon, and the certified warranty
So my CPO A6 Avant threw a CEL a while ago which went away a couple of days (may or may not be related, but it went away after getting a few gallons of gas).
My car is at the dealer for a variety of items and I mentioned this issue. I have been told that it's an air flow code that is most likely due to carbon build-up. Reading threads here a carbon build up issue was not entirely unexpected with my car. I was told the intake manifold would need to be removed and receive a "de-carb."
What was totally unexpected to me was him telling me that this is not covered by the Certified warranty. I'm being told this is a "purely maintenance issue at this point." Does any one know if this is the case?
I tried searching the forums, but I couldn't find anything with this specific CPO-related question.

You may want to try a different dealer, I had the carbon issue with my car and the dealer performed the work under CPO warranty. Dealer took a week to complete the work but the results were noticeable as soon I drove the car of the dealer. Good luck.
