My '07 C6 S6 (with 32k miles) has been developing a progressively rougher idle on cold start. Two weeks ago it started throwing a check engine light (CEL).

I brought it to the dealer and they replaced the intake manifold. Two major changes are immediately apparent:

1. Cold start idle is completely different. Much more normalized, not rough at all.
2. Holy torque. I generally shift in manual mode because I've found the standard shifting to short shift a little too much. I accelerated in 1st and damn near put myself in the backseat.

This was all covered under CPO and my local dealer, Maplewood Audi, is pretty great to work with.

I just wanted to share my experience with everyone. No idea whether there was carbon in the intake, but it sounded like the manifold got stuck in a fairly closed position.

I'm still planning on dynoing, decarbing, and dynoing again this spring.
