Hi all,
I know this issue has been discussed at length, and I have dug through pages of threads looking for a solution, but haven't been able to find an adequate answer.

I currently own a 2005 A6. MMI version 07.5.0 0439; navigation was updated with the 2012 DVD refresh. I have built in Bluetooth in the MMI, but as I understand it, that is solely for making calls.

The previous owner installed this Dension Gateway 500 in the glove box. Present is a 30-pin iPod connection, USB, and the little black box.

I tried using hooking up in the glove box, however, it did not work. iPhone connected to it fine, but no output to audio system.
The USB input works for thumb drives with audio on it, but that looks like it. I tried plugging in my phone to the USB to see what would happen, but all I got was a continue charging--disconnected--charging loop.

Any functioning solutions to getting BT audio streaming to work? Any known 30-pin dongles that work with the car/MMI?

Hi Geglamash and welcome to the forum.

Here are my thoughts on your ask. First your MMI s/w is ancient. The latest ver is 46.1.0! Also, the latest nav DVD is 2014...so get updated

As for the BT streaming ask. I too have the Dension 500 and am evaluating getting the following http://www.viseeostore.com/products/...r-wma1000.html if you do a search for this type of A2DP adapter, it's supposed to work with the Dension system and actually be able to stream audio (music) vs. calls only.

I went ahead and bought a 1000 series tune2air and it works perfectly!
Works just as if I plugged my device directly; complete song info and functionality from the wheel for switching songs, etc.

Do you think that 1000 series tune2air would work with MMI also?
