2008 S6 - Performance Upgrades
I have had my 2008 S6 for about 1 year now. I had the car repainted and worked out all the little bugs, now it is time for some performance upgrades. I was hoping I could get some suggestions from my fellow V10 owners.

Sorry to disappoint you, but there really are no performance upgrades worthy of mention. This was a small production numbers and quite expensive car. Therefore developing tuning mods was not cost effective and therefore not done.

K&N will not increase your performance and the stock air intakes have scoops behind the grill so you already have cold air intakes. Adding those options would be a waste of $$'s (although it might look nice). The exhaust may give you a few hp.

PS: When somebody feeds me the line "We specifically design your intake to the horsepower you choose without touching anything else on the car", I swiftly walk out of their shop.

Sorry for misunderstanding
I got scepter number from a local shop exchanged emails with one of their engineers. No one makes a cold air intake for the S6 because it's already a dual cool air intake as it is. He explained that if I knew what mods I had planned they could design a custom dual air intake that would allow the air flow to be enough to feed the v10 if you planned on doing some extreme mods like intake,Pistons, cams, mill tek exhaust etc. basically could design a system that would be able to feed enough air to support 750 hp naturally aspirated motor if that was your goal. Unfortunately my plans changed with other repairs that the car ended up needing. Hope that explains it a little better. You got an awesome car if you ever have time to get on you tube you should listen to the Milltek V10s, sound just like the 5.2 Lamborghinis.

Here is a link to APR for their tuning solution for our cars. I looked at this, but frankly the HP gain is so small that I would not spend the $.
