After the tune, I have had the car personally to 167 mph, I was just wondering what kinds of speeds you think the car is capable of when it is maxed out at top speed.
135mph does not sound like a lot. You can make it with 3.2 liter motor and skirack. I would not use it for comparison.
Also do not forget that in aerodynamics F=V^2. So you to get from 135 to 167mph you need 53% more power. I doubt the exhaust would yield anything close to 50%.

Why on earth is raising your top speed important? Where can you safely drive more than 90 or so?

Bragging rights?

I don't get it.

In the states both the 3.2 and the 4.2 are electronically limited to 130 mph It is likely that the 3.2 could probably eek out another few mphs if the limiter was removed. With the 4.2 having at least 30% more power than the 3.2 it is likely that you could get the 4.2 into the 160 neighborhood with just the stock car and the limiter removed.

Could always take the 4 door sedan out on the track

That track would have to have one long straight. Maybe a shut down runway.

My old chipped and modded with other power goodies B5 Avant would hit 145-150 mph with enough room on literally a deserted desert highway. There are still some places where you won't see anyother car for 20+ minutes. I would not even come close to that speed nowadays and would only do high speeds on a track to lower the risks.

The straightway is the boring part of the track. Time to check the gauges, loosen the shoulders, give or take pointbys.

sks.
Maybe on the second or third lap once you got the courage to come out of the turn at 140 mph.

i'd like to see the pre and post dyno figures as well. Any good quality upgrade should have such diag work available to you. Obviously you didn't spend $550+ on just snake oil. You should at least have the post data available to share, since there's a lot of FUD on the net re: ECU flashes for the 4.2.

audidriver99, any update on the dyno data? You mentioned that you had them on paper and could scan them in for sharing...I for one would be interested in the outcome
