2006 A6 3.2 or Acura RL: Help me decide...

Hmmm....I had an 05 TL six speed and brembos, which was hard to find,...it was a poser car...looks nice, drove nice at 7/10th, and yes reliable....but I now have an S4 which is leagues better....at 90+ the TL was nervous...the S4 cruises at 110 and I get scared before it does.. I have owned other Acuras and Hondas too. The RL is a nice car, but a bit staid,,,,a 50 something waspy ride. But thats ok. One of my favorite cars was an 1998 Interga Type-R #333. Best handling OEM car I ever drove or owned.
I suggest back to back drives, maybe even on a rainy day. In Annapolis you can do that at Criswell, as they sell both brands right next to each other.

Cat Herder
mustang dyno sheets for the RL are easy to find. Acura's 290 hp claim is/was/always will be a joke.
hey, the RL is a fantastic Honda Accord. no argument there.

If you are looking at the 3.2L I would say A6 for no doubt. When I first started to looking for my audi, I always wanted for a V8. As you know the F... canadian dosen't know how to buy a car most of the off lease are 3.2L. However, I insiste to get a v8, cuz a friend of my got a sick Hemi that really makes wanna have a v8. but only once I test drove a 3.2 after i have tried so many v8. I have to say the 3.2L was really I was much fast than I expected. Compare to a v8 it is really not slow at all. Plus the C6 has the most beautiful interior of all in it's class.

I've never driven the Acura awd system, but there are plenty of non-quattro awd systems that perform fine in snow. Maybe quattro is better, but most of the snow advantage of quattro is the fact it's awd, not that it's quattro.

Gah... everone worried about extended warranties...
1) Look into Breakdown insurance.... from the insurance companies... usually cheaper, covers more, backed/regulated (warranties are not!), and flexible deductibles allow you to price it to cover the big things, for that "piece of mind" if you must have it.
2) Save the Money in a savings account... the warranty company gave you the average price of repair work, plus about 25% profit... you now know what your odds are.
3) Use that money to find a newer/lower miles car.
BTW: I'd get the audi... look around, there's some really good pricing on the 2008 CPO's... (Hertz sold it's fleet back to audi recently, flooding the market) I picked up one for $32K with 22K on the clock. It's got 7 yrs/100K from Audi... no need for a warranty.
