9500ix Radar custom hard wired
Today I was able to install my new 9500ix with a red screen. I'm not a big fan of dangling wires so this was my solution. The radar detector itself is a typical install next to the mirror so I did not take pictures of it.
This install was done with a hardwire kit and tapped to an ignition source behind the fuse panel on the drivers side.
A track needed to be cut to slide the circuit board through. A replacement cap can still be placed there if needed and it's only $7.
Test fit
Final but I am thinking of trimming a bit off the top of the passport sticker.
I feel that it does not look great really close especially with a high res camers but in person it looks better. Here is my view.

Looks so much cleaner. I have a V1 hardwired with the concealed unit on the dash. That way I can look at my speed and the 'threats' at this same time without taking my eyes off the road for too long.

Thank you.
After reading so many post I was ready to pull the trigger on the V1 especially that it integrates to a laser Interceptor that I purchased and on its way. Unfortunately the inability to distinguish or mute false alarms automatically pushed me over to the 9500ix. I had to pay extra for the red screen. I had to purchase a 9500i (red screen) then pay $130 for an upgrade to the ix which keeps the red screen but adds all the ix features. It ended up costing more than a regular ix with a blue screen.
I will be putting the laser interceptor and 9500ix to the test on a 9 hour drive to Ohio next month.
Also the redlight camera warning on the 9500ix is awesome. I have 7 of them within 1 mile from my house and they keep on adding more.

Nice! I run a V1 up high and a Blinder M27 dual head up front. My switch is in the same blanks you used but I use the two on the right b/c I don't have valet or rear sunshade so I have a custom flat 3 way switch and the LED is on the blank beside it. I should put a pic up but it's late!

I would love to see it. Please post pic. I have not installed the laser interceptor yet so I am very curious as to where you placed the M27. Please provide feedback on the M27 if its okay.

I have an S Line grille and I found this picture of an A3 with a similar grille. I will be installing in the same way as far as the jamer heads. It seems like the SLine and S6 grilles are perfect for the LI ljammer heads.
