Default 2005 A6 3.2 trip computer?

Hi all,

Newbie with another question. In the owners manual of my 2005 A6quattro base model, there is mention of a trip computer that is part of the display between the gauges. I've tried reseting it using the buttons on the wiper stalk (as per the owners manual) but I'm unable to reset it, change the display to show other info, etc.

I've tried both buttons numerous times, pushing them every way possible-nothing happens. So.....

1) Does the car really even have a trip computer?
2) What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

AFAIK the trip computer did not come on the base model in 2005. The manual is just covering all levels of A6.

Thank you for the info gk1, I love my Audi
(its my first one), next time I'll know what features
to look for, etc. It's been a learning curve,
but after 20+ years of only driving American
and Asian cars, I have to say the Europeans
have the fun to drive part down to a science!

The reset should be under the "Car" Menu on the MMI. Look in the "Instrument Cluster" sub-menu. I had a 2005 3.2, and that's how you reset the info. You can also select what parameters you want included for each one.

TVR1977 I looked in the sub-menu & there was the info! I just had to turn it all on, the cars previous owner had all the trip info turned off.
