Whats a reasonable S6 trade these days?
Had my '02 S6 with 94k miles evaluated for a trade at a local dealer and the best they could do is $7k. Its a single owner car, Goodwood Green/Silver, with Warm weather package, rear air bags and 3rd row seat. Paint and interior are in very good shape (always garaged) and really the only flaw at the moment is the pixel line issue in the dash display. I'm thinking $7k may be a fair trade and if I were to sell direct, I'd probably ask about $9k and see where it goes. Any thoughts?

It's fair considering THEIR business model, not yours.

Of course, if the ATF hasn't been changed since you bought the car you're back down to $7-8K because the trans WILL go around 110K if not taken care of.
An apocryphal tale, my S6 trans went at 107K and I had it flushed at 64K when I bought the car. I wouldn't sell mine for less than $12K because of that new transmission, new OEM cats, etc.

Fix the LCD (unscrew it, send it to module masters or some such and $150 or less and a week it's back) and you could probably sell it for $10-12K.

Once you add in the trade you have almost no idea what the new cars costs and the trade in is worth.
You don't do it for the extra $$, it is for knowing your car is going to good hands.
Besides, all us Audi people are friends, so we should get the friends price.
