Issue: Passenger side Wet Carpet
Vacuumed it dry -
Remove the battery and look for any debris -
The drain is dry and clear of any debris -
Then I found this - see pic.
Can someone please tell me what this is?
Thanks!

I believe it's some sort of air sensor, it clicks onto the front of
the air filter box there. Mine popped off when I pulled my battery out there too. Also, make sure to check the drain over under the brake master cylinder. That's what was plugged on mine, not the one under the battery (that was perfectly clear!) Just reach in back of the silver heat shield jacket there, and you'll prob. find it full of junk like I did! I had the same issue a month or so ago! All set now!

My water was coming in here:
The foam at the bottom of the pollen filter base was deteriorated and water leaked in.
I removed the tray and siliconed it in place. The rear 10mm nut near the hood hinge is a bear to remove and re-install.
I've been thinking of making a cover for the top of the filter (like the B6's have) but I'm very lazy.

It was not flsuh with the windshield. It was leaking in down through my cabin filter. I put some black sealant where the plastic meets the windshield and its fixed.

Hmmm, my plastic shield you have lifted up there,
has a v-wedge that has tape (gasket?) down it, and that v-wedge slips into that metal edge to make the seal there. Then, the 3 metal clips holds that down to the metal frame pieces (1 on each end, and another in the middle.) (I could be wrong, this is all from my graymatter, which has been known to be faulty lately)
Re: your question on what that little thing with 4 white holes is, if it's what I'm thinking it is, it snaps into that detente on the front right corner of the pollen filter box there in the KillA6's pic.

Yea thats right but in my case it came out of the groove. It looked as though
weather, the sun or engine heat made the plastic piece bow up. I tried just holding it down against the windshield and it seemed as it was almost too big and there were gaps. It somehow got warped.
