Went over to the dark side today.....
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/77541/foto394.1.jpg"></center><p>and picked up this beauty to replace my A6 1.9 TDI. Actually, my plans were to get an A4 CAB 3.0, but I went into our local BMW dealership just to look around a little bit, and then it happened. Now this is what I got: Brand-new BMW 530d, 3.0 litre, 218 horsepower and tons of torque (500newtonmetres) combined with a 6-speed manual tranny......including lots of gadgets like adaptive cornering light, dynamic drive (active stabilizers) and active steering just to mention a few.....
This car is a blast to drive, but I have to admit that the old C5 interior is superior to this one.....Feeling like I will miss my A6 soon......
Will stay on this forum, still have my TT....and I have the feeling that I like the people on this forum much more than the ones over at bimmerforums.com.....

I am sure it is a great drive, but why does it ....
have to be so gosh darn ugly?? Please don't think I am an anti-bimmer hater, I thought the 3 and 5 series bimmers immediately preceding the Banglized ones were more attractive than the corresponding Audi's. But I can't get over most of the creases and the eyebrows on that thing.
And by the way, I wouldn't have posted this except for the fact that there are so many people that want to jump on the new A6 (which I happen to think is pretty darn good looking (except the chrome on the trunk and the shape of the taillights)).
I guess it is a good thing that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right??

OK, I didn´t really want to offend anyone here, just thought I´ d share this car with you and tell you, how nice the "old" A6 really is.....
Will go on the Autobahn very fast, but I still have break this beauty in....
