Dubwerks of Liberyville performed the transformation appox. 2 weeks ago. Nice guy. Fast service. Good price. VW dealer wanted $128 in labor while DW charges $38.
During normal driving and shifts, there is hardly a noticeable difference.
Anything over 3k RPM and you can feel a fury of power building. The boost is now noticealbe with a push back in the seat and a slight increase in engine noise as you can hear the increase in boost pressure.
Freeway acceleration feels almost effortless in 6th gear. No need to downshift. Just dig in the pedal and the power builds smoothly and consistently.
Last night during one of my "test runs" I found a "happy" 350z cruising down I-94. I waited for the right moment then down shifted to 4th and shot right past him with so much force I could almost imagine his face as I sling-shoted past.
4 doors, wood grain, awd, and power to shut most cars down. Ya gotta love it!
Also, the suspension has settled and feels better. I lowered the front to almost perfection now. Photos will follow.
Thanks and enjoy,
Alex

Welcome to the dark side!!! :) It really transforms the car, doesn't it!
It will calm down a bit after it learns your driving habits, but it's always nice to have those extra ponies under the hood.

I did both GIAC chips. Honestly, the tip chip makes virtually no difference.
Maybe it downshifts a little faster; but upshifts feel the same. It did seem to reduce some goofy behavior when under heavy throttle in 3-4-5th gear.
