Default All of the electronics are sealed and can not touch or short to other.....

electronic devices. It is coated with a very, very thick clear heatshrink. This way it keeps as small a footprint as possible.

Default How does it install?

I guess the heatshrink isn't shown on the photo - or did you do that after my message?

Wires are spliced in behind the hazzard blinker.

Got it - so it is not plug and play, but requires cutting of wires?

No cutting, it uses T-Splices so you do not have to cut your wires.

Default Unless I'm wrong, a "T" splice damages the original wiring......

....by actually severing the wires.

In other words, you can't just remove the device and be back where you started.

That sounds like an awfully poor design. Wouldn't it have been better to make it a plug in module between the loom and the hazard switch?

Default ...and then thre's me.....but.....

...I decided a long time not to do anything to my car that can't be readily undone. If my blinkers act up, I'd want to be able to remove the switch thingie to make sure that it wasn't the cause - especially since we know that the hazards are a bit of a problem with the A6
