SAP Part #'s
My SAP is going out on my '99 A6 quattro. I think I've found an OEM pump at a salvage yard. My question is should I replace the hoses going to the SAP? I found these part #'s somewhere: VOLKSWAGEN 078-133-817-P PIPE
&
VOLKSWAGEN 078-133-889-H PIPE. My VIN is WAUBA34BOXN133984.
Are these part numbers correct for my car (had a friend tell me it depended on my VIN)? Do you think I should replace anything else while I've got her apart?
THANKS AUDIWORLD!!!

If you hear very loud noises on cold startup while the pump is running, then most likely the SAP shaft bearings are going bad. This condition is usually the result of moisture being blown into the outlet hose by a failed diverter valve. Over time, the mositure corrodes the bearings, then it will seize.
