Tires? What's the choice of tire lately? I need new summer tires, thinking about F1's or KDW's...

Default Tires? What's the choice of tire lately? I need new summer tires, thinking about F1's or KDW's...
Would like decent tire wear, good performance, not to loud. Any other suggestions.

Toyo T1-R is a great tire... edgeracing.com has them for good prices.

Default F1's and KDW's are exactly what I'm looking at getting...
Didn't think the Toyo's were worth the price. Cheaper, but not much.
Have you seen the Car and Driver tire test?

Default I'm looking at 19's and the T1's are the same price as the 18's KDW's. Haven't seen the C/D test.
What was the verdict?

Default We love our KDW NT's, they are a bit noisey, but otherwise no complaints...
been running them in the rain the last few days and no problems at all. They arequite hard, and definetly a lo-pro tire, but otherwise I love them so far.

Default I bought my T1R's from EdgeRacing...
So far, I like the Toyos. Nice quiet ride, and the handling is good. Sidewalls are quite stiff, which was a pleasant surprise considering the C&amp;D review. But the 255 40 17's I have are "XL" rated (98 load rating vs 94), so that may have something to do with it.

Default Falken Ziex ZE-512s are a highly rated all-season radial tire. Have them on both a '96 A6 Avant...
and a '00 VW Passat. And at ~$65 per tire, a good deal over other all season radials.
