Default Timing belt parts ordered...again.

This will be the fourth time I've changed it.

Looks like a busy weekend.

Wow! How many miles on your car? What are your TB intervals?

I try to do it every 75k or so, but I things the alternator push me off schedule a bit. Car is at 258k as of today. 2.8 FTW.

I wonder what they've had to replace (turbos, TC, tranny, etc...)

Default Holy COW!!

Well, I just did the same thing for my 4.2l and am due to get the parts on Tuesday. Did the timing and extended valve cover kit (with cam adjuster seals) from Blaufergnugen with the tool rentals. This is my first time doing it, so, I'm nervous. Any expert words from the wise??

Take your time, keep the work area neat, set the cam timing correctly with the tools. Do not tear the whole front end of the car apart. Service position gives more than enough room.

Not claiming any records, but I'm at 138k. All OEM except for clutch, flywheel, and alternator. Still original battery and suspension. No problems (knock on wood).
