on my 03 A6, the sunroof was stuck half open. Wouldn't open or close. Had to manually crank closed.

Here's my question: If it's just the rotary switch causing the problem, should I expect the convenience function using the key in the door to work? It doesn't. It'll open/close the windows, but not the sunroof.

Just checking if anybody's seen this before I purchase a new switch.

...when your car is coded for remote window operation. The moonroof does not open with the remote....windows only.

Perhaps you can find a local A6 owner that can temporarily swap the sunroof switch so you can test it. That way, you will know before you spend the $$ on a new part.

I sometimes see them on eBay as well (parts recyclers) but what might not be the right color to match you interior.

Same with the door lock operation...closes moonroof only, does not open
