Subframe bolts location for DP removal
I posted how difficult a time I'm having with the DP removal. I did more searching and found a link on Google about the removal of the downpipes. The expert said you need to unbolt the rear subframe bolts and it will drop about 3" but it won't fall on you.
Laying under the car, and not knowing EXACTLY which bolts he's talking about makes me just a little nervous. Here is the link: http://www.justanswer.com/audi/4v6wc...ers-sides.html, and he replies to the question, "unbolt rear of subframe
AudiDoc : the subframe will drop down about 3" but will not fall on you"
If anyone could help me out on the exact location of these bolts he's talking about I would GREATLY appreciate it.

The bolts are the ones with the aluminum plates bolted to the subframe and the floorpan at the rear of the subframe. You have to remove the two smaller bolts from the plates first, them remove the larger subframe bolts after. I would suggest holding the subframe up with a jack, removing the bolts, then lowering it with a jack.
