Spare engine bracket and or oil pan? Yeah I hit something:/
Anyone here happen to have an engine mount bracket for bank 2’s side.
For some reason I always feared this would happen. As such, I am constantly listening to my engine, checking my oil and am surprised every time that I don’t seem to lose any between changes.
I hit something in the road or rather ran over it. Looks like my oil pan is cracked and not an easy weld. Also my right engine mount bracket cracked as well. I also bent the sway bar bracket and really thinking I lucked out. I drove it for at least a half hour before I noticed a slight ticking sound and then oil light came right as I pulled over.
it still had at least 3 or more quarts in it.
I cleaned it off well with alcohol and applied Jb Weld. I forgot to sand the surfaces though and it only held up for a half day.
I’ll likely try and weld the old one as a spare. But I can’t rely on that.
If anyone has an extra I can buy I still have the sealer for when I took it off to clean out my oil pick up screen.
if not I’ll just buy some new ones just thought I’d check with you and let anyone who cares knows. That the cars been running great every day for almost a year. It seems the 100 repairs I did in the beginning have turn this back into a reliable car.

The oil pan is actually two parts, the upper pan and the lower pan.
Chances are that you only damaged the lower pan... Amazon has a URO part for $35 or so... pn 078103604AA
The part number for the upper pan is 078103603AM
Make sure that you get the part with the hole or without, depending on your original.

Nice find on Amazon. I’ll get that ordered right now. I also think it’s only the lower pan as that’s what I took off to clean the oil pick up screen which was full of plastic and metal way back when the tensioner lost it plastic foot. I cleaned all the varnish off the everything I could reach because I’m OCD.
If you can imagine the impact since the damage is at the far right side of the oil pan and then the sway bar bracket and then the engine mount bracket. Any guesses as to what else I should look out for damage. I checked all my control arms and ball joints.
lastly since my engine mount bracket is broke through should I keep my engine hoisted up so it doesn’t change my camber from sitting unsupported like that.

Is this the part you need for the engine mount bracket? 4B0199352B It doesn't seem to expensive for a used one on ebay.
I would support the engine until you can get it replaced...

sorry for late reply. I took your advice and got my engine hoist out and got it supported now. So I think that was 2 days no support ? Hopefully alignment isn’t too far out of wack.
I’ll be getting tires soon and I want to get a four wheel alignment that I hear is the best for these cars. Any recommendations on trusted alignment shops for these cars? I’ve had horrible experiences with big o doing my 2005 Dodge 5.7 Hemi 2500
So I’m guessing I need to go to a dealership or something.
and got all parts ordered. I’ll update when it is back in the road.

side note. Have you heard of balancing beads? They are used mainly in semis I believe it’s like plastic bb size beads that go in the tire and are supposedly better than wheel weights. Anyone here use them?
also using nitrogen to fill tires. Probably unnecessary but just interesting.

Nitrogen in tires is a cash flow device... from your wallet to theirs.
Balancing beads... I have had good luck with regular stick on weights... a tire shop with a good, calibrated, balance machine in two planes is the way to go.
