Well, I guess it had to happen sometime...some IDIOT in an SUV ran a stop sign (coming out of a bar!!) and nearly T-boned me. I swerved and he caught my right rear quarter-panel. THEN HE TOOK OFF!!!!! I was going to chase him but I had a passenger, and there was a real rubbing sound coming from the wheel. Turns out the rubbing was a chunk of his rubber bumper guard, so I was able to limp home when I removed it. But I am out at least $500 for my deductable, plus I am really afraid the repair will be more than the value of the car (2000 A6 ... you know how that can go.)

My first accident ever! Why oh why was I not driving my beater Explorer today? My poor baby, all banged up. Oh well, at least no one was hurt, 1/2 a second earlier could have been real bad. Will those lovely flares ever look like they match again? WAAAAAAHHHHH.

Oh please let me find that SUV, the one with the missing rubber, the one with all that black paint on it. The one owned by a f@%$%&ing hit and run driver!

Yeah, Police came, made report, looked consoling, asked if my car was black.

I'll wager that'll be a $3-4K repair bill, .Be sure to use a good body shop and you should be OK.
