So, 2 flights today, 1 on an A320, both partially over water and passed quite a few birds...
at fairly close range. Am I a little bitch to say I was bit concerned???

People are now starting to notice that birds share some of the same airspace

j/k - it's natural to have a heightened awareness after something like this.
Considering how many flights per day there are a bird strike is still a really rare occurrence. One that takes out two engines even rarer. Combine that with a pre-inauguration news lull and it gets a little blown out of proportion.
